One year back I started treating a young lady with locally advance squamous cell carcinoma of tongue. She got chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Her tongue necrosed, and she lost it. She lived without tongue for a couple of months. On her lost visit we passed PEG tube, as she was having difficulty in swallowing. Today I got a call from her husband " My wife passed away and she wished for your presence in her funeral".
